Found by Grace

Into this earth I was born,
With innocence walked in sin,
What it meant I knew not,
But the fun I enjoyed.

Rolled with peers and
Rolled with friends,
Made enemies and partners too,
Did some things not proud to say,
But all the same it was fun.

In this ways, I felt the pain,
In this ways, I had my gain.
My fair share of all the rain,
That could never stop, but begin again.

In my ways, I still felt away,
Not in sync and incomplete.
I had everything, but not enough.
A void in me, no one could fill.

A space in my heart, nothing to occupy.
I need answers, I need to know
I need closure, I need to understand,
What I’m looking for I know not,
Some said I was obsessed with curiosity,
Some said I was insatiable.

But I knew something had to change.
I walked my path and looked my way
And on a day, so faithful a day,
I found a man who had nothing I had,
Dancing, shouting, saying he had heard,
I puzzled and asked,
what make thee merry?
And he said ‘look to the hills’
That was all it took.

The beauty so rear,
the creation so artistic,
the design strategic.
And I ask ‘who did this?’
And he said ‘I AM’
‘I’ve never seen so much beauty’ I said
‘thou was blind, it’s all around’ was all he said.

I race to the hill for a closer look
To see the rise of a creator, oh! so fair,
The Creator still there.

Face shining like the sun,
Raiments spotless than the snow,
I could not but bow down,
for great was the sight
Out of zion’s hill
Salvation fills

I was found
