Divine Direction

I got my Divine Direction on my way to work today. So, I decided to try something I previously do but stopped. I felt distant and well, I felt separated or would I say far.

A lot of emotional tremors I am still working through. Still finding my way back, redefining was God means to me, beyond all the activities we do in church.

I just want a different level of the association, because I refuse to believe, all the prayer and jumping in the church is all there is to our spiritual journey. This covid-19 period gave me a blank cheque in doing that.

So, I stopped doing all the activities I did because I felt I was required as a Christian. People would say, ” shebi you are a born-again Christian, you should be a worker in the church, or you shouldn’t be at parties or you shouldn’t wear certain things“.

I stopped that all together in the aim of knowing that God who showed mercy to a harlot and made her the first woman disciple.

So, I started communicating than our regular mode of prayer. I switched from the ranting and shouting to the imagination of God directly in my presence, coming down to my level for tea.

That kind of thing. I must tell you I have gotten more from it than what I have been doing before.

I can boldly say I haven’t been in church; doesn’t mean I haven’t experienced so much more that I have before. Although the leading to fellowship is building, for now, we still communicate.

Anyway, I am digressing from my main reason for posting. I just couldn’t help myself I just had to testify.

So, like I said I usually do this thing when I am leaving my house to anywhere. I pray for direction and when I am moving, I ask “which way lord?” it started as a joke, but it became a part of me. But amazing this morning, 30th of December, 2020. I heard a response. It was shocking and it took every fibre in me to listen.

I usually take Sabo to work, when I am alone, except I am going with my colleagues then I take another route for their benefits.

So, I was at the junction which determined my path, I was like which way lord and I heard, “Yaba“. I was like Yaba ke, the one with traffic. Wo me I cannot pass there ooo.

But then my mind reasoned again like I asked and I got a response. My mind was like what if it is my subconscious telling to go to the next available junction, but why the traffic-related area.

I still didn’t want to believe, but I summoned courage and went through Yaba, let me tell you the road was free, so free I got to the main trafficked area in no time. Checking what Sabo had to say on the map didn’t even occur to me again.

I was overjoyed I listened.
It might sound small, strange and far fetched to some people, and that is ok. I pray for you to get your encounter as well and when you do, I pray for you to recognize it as well.

When I did that, I remember the few times I move into different directions because of some small nudges to change the path, Man, I was awed at how I had been receiving responses but was never in tuned to hear it.

It was so amazing I worshipped all the way to work.
My reason for sharing this is not to move propaganda of spirituality, but just to say that I have learnt from this little experience. It taught me that, when you wholeheartedly seek God, he would answer, and his answer would be clear to you when you are ready to listen to him.

There is one thing for God to speak and another thing for us to hear and listen. Remember God seeks the true worshippers, the one who would worship in truth and spirit.

I have just found a full understanding of that scripture now. Anyways let me continue on this amazing journey to find how God want me to serve him.

  1. Ehn this God works in a different ways, sometimes He talks to us through out mind, if we eventually follow through, we don’t regret, but when we don’t we start saying if I had known,.
For me I follow my inner mind, with God all things are possible.
