Racing Thoughts

So, on my way to work one day, I saw an old friend of mine. Would I say a friend of or acquaintance? Well in between those line sha. Seeing her gave me racing thoughts.

She was looking all good from her heels to wheels. We exchanged pleasantries, caught up on old times and said our goodbyes, of which I know only time can tell of our next meeting day.

Facing my journey, different racing thoughts passed through my mind. I thought of how good she looked and how well put together she looked. How expensive her wheels are. I started comparing myself to her. After being voted most industrious and most likely to succeed. It weighed me down. Thinking of how many businesses had failed in my hand and the way I revised and got back up with Alexandriaflame How some start interesting and don’t just pick up. How low my 9-5 salary is. I started putting myself down and blaming myself and the devil for what I called my lack of progress and my financial stagnancy. which lead to my previous post on starting ideas

As a result, I was thought of so many things. Slowing, I thought of what I had gone through, every failure I rose up from. Always managing the little salary I have. Honestly, I didn’t even get to the point where I thought of other people who didn’t have anything before I started to thank God.

I immediately started apologizing to myself, first, for comparing myself with her. That was way below me. If she had gone through what I have, would she be where I was, I don’t know, but I am here, standing. It is enough. I also cautioned myself for saying I wasn’t progressing, I’m at least able to get up and begin again, so what is my problem. I am not dead, hence the hope for the future.

Would I say that people who spend time and effort supporting me are being wasted? Get a grip of yourself!

Everyone has his/her journey, everyone has their own time, use yours wisely. Continue learning, continue finding ways to improve yourself, continue trying to be the best in what you do. Continue to show you are worth your efforts and the efforts of those who support you.
Then you would see, those who would see you shine like the sun that you are.
